I’m really looking forward to SXSW this year and we are now just a few short weeks away. Having attended and supported my clients in the past, this year is particularly exciting since I’m taking the stage along with some amazing speakers. Before I tell you about Remix’s workshop, here are a few other sessions our team is excited about.


SESSION: Adapting for the Future of UX Design

Mark Webster, director of product for Adobe, is talking about the future of design and best practices for designers to create omnisense experiences for consumers. If you are interested in where design is going, you’ll want to attend Mark’s session.



SXSW SESSION: Does Your Design Speak Emoji?

Have you ever realized your eye shoots right to an email that has an emoji in the subject? Have you shaken your head at someone’s ridiculous overuse of emojis - putting symbols where it just feels forced? This SXSW session features the people who have quite literally shaped the face of emojis. You’ll hear from their experience and understand emojis’ impact on design, the tools top designers are using to apply emojis in a variety of spaces, and the impact emojis are having on the future of design.


SXSW WORKSHOP: Nail Your Brand: Passion, Purpose, Promotion

At Remix we have the privilege of working with some amazing clients. We help you get your message to the right audience. In this SXSW workshop, we’ve put together a dream team to help you with your personal brand.


This session will lead you through hands-on exercises to understand and tap into your passions, help you establish your personal brand, build upon your true purpose, and promote yourself in meaningful ways to help you stand out.

Veronica Belmont is a product manager, podcaster, and technology evangelist on the Adobe Spark team where she works to help social media creators, marketers, and influencers bring their brands and creative ideas to the masses.








Katy Boos (that's me!) founded Remix because I'm passionate about creating impactful thought leadership programs for my clients, bringing ideas to life on stage at industry events and in written content for clients such as Adobe and Facebook.





download (1)Moe Carrick is Founder of Certified BCorp Moementum, Inc. and holds a Master’s Degree in OD, is a Certified Daring Way™/Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, a Coach, and is administrator of a variety of tools in her trade.









Lynette Xanders is the CEO and Chief Strategist at Wild Alchemy and a coach for creative businesses and their leaders (think ad agencies to adidas and E&J Gallo). She has been featured in Entrepreneur magazine, at TedX and many national conferences.

Katy founded Remix Communications in 2016 because she’s passionate about spearheading impactful thought leadership programs for her clients. Brainstorming compelling topics and narratives, Katy helps bring ideas to life on stage at industry events and in written content for clients such as Adobe and Facebook. Before Remix, Katy co-founded a successful Silicon Valley marketing/PR firm. Earlier she managed PR programs for Apple including Media and Entertainment, mobile products and QuickTime. She started her career on the PR agency side. Katy lives in Los Angeles. She is a member of the Forbes Agency Council, and has volunteered with TEDx as a speaker curator and coach. She's served as a member of the board of directors for both the Peninsula Humane Society and the Working Wonders Children’s Museum.
